How to write a conclusion in the thesis

The conclusion is what ends the analysis of theoretical and practical aspects of the thesis.

What is written in the conclusion?

Here it is necessary to indicate the main points of work: self-formulated interpretations of terms, personally compiled classification, analysis results, description of identified problems, indication of unique solutions, evaluation of their effectiveness.

If you have previously done course projects yourself, it is not difficult to understand how to write a conclusion in the thesis. Course and thesis work are similar in their structure, approaches to the study, description of its results, the design of the finished text.

To write an excellent conclusion of the thesis yourself, we advise you to immediately read the contents of the manual.

What information can you get from there?

First, the rules of text design. The conclusion is written in exactly the same font using the same line spacing as the entire thesis. To write it yourself in the vast majority of cases, choose the font Times New Romans of the fourteenth Kegel and one and a half line spacing. The topic is written in capital letters and highlighted in bold, located in the middle of the page, one indent is made, followed directly by the conclusions of the work. The text is aligned across the width of the page, it must be numbered.

Second, the requirements for the size of the prison. The length of this section can vary from two to five pages. Much depends on the size of the thesis. If it takes 50 sheets, it is logical to assume that the conclusion will be small – about three pages.

Third, the requirements for information. You can write the conclusions in solid text, divided into paragraphs, or divide them into parts relevant to the tasks outlined in the introduction. In this case, each paragraph of the conclusion contains the results of a specific task. Sometimes the guidelines do not specify this point, but the supervisor requires you to do so. We advise you to focus on his words, because the final grade for the thesis largely depends on his recommendations.

How to write a conclusion in the thesis?

To write a conclusion, you must complete the study. Show it to the supervisor, discuss each part with him. This approach will allow you to immediately write your own conclusion, rather than reworking it every time after making adjustments.

Let’s consider how to write some parts of the introduction to the thesis, namely the relevance, purpose and objectives, hypothesis, subject, object and others.

After the supervisor approves the final version, check the level of uniqueness of your thesis. If you draw a conclusion by copying the main provisions of the thesis, it will save you from repeating places that have zero uniqueness. Process the entire text yourself so that it can be tested in plagiarism detection systems.

After that, you can finally write a conclusion. There are several methods to write it yourself:

If the thesis requires the preparation of intermediate conclusions for each section, then you can make a final conclusion by copying these conclusions. Similarly, you can use the Microconference to each paragraph, which is written at the very end. Their volume does not exceed one paragraph. Of course, not all supervisors allow the use of this approach.

If you remember the essence of the work well, you can state your main points in your own words. The advantage of this method is the absolute uniqueness of the written text.

As the thesis is taken into account, it is possible to note its main points: definition, functions and principles, characteristics of the research base, classification, analysis results, list of problems, recommendations developed by you. Then put these pieces together.

To write the conclusions, you can copy the text of the thesis, and then delete from it all the secondary information. A significant disadvantage of this approach is that the conclusion is very comprehensive. However, you can use a draft of the conclusions as the basis of your language for protection. Paraphrase and reduce the remaining data until the conclusion is the right amount.

Be sure to reflect all aspects of the study performed, especially those sections where the analysis appeared to be downright weak. The absence of any results on them in the conclusions will push the supervisor and reviewers to a more careful study of these places. Pay more attention to the description of the results of the analysis in the second and third chapters or pay for assignment
