The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Popularly known as FSSAI is the competent authority that issues food license to the food business operators across India. FSSAI License ensures the quality and security of food products sold in India.

FSSAI Licensing Process
Madhya Pradesh has made FSSAI License mandatory to start a business in the food industry.
Nobody is permitted to commence a food production or process unit without a valid FSSAI license in the State. An application for the grant of the License should be made in Form B and the necessary documents and required fees. Under normal circumstances, the FSSAI License will be issued within 60 days from the date of application.
