How Does YSR Navasakam Work?

The working principle of the online portal, navasakam.ap.gov.in, is pretty simple. The portal will try to identify the beneficiaries of various programs launched by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. YSR Navasakam helps the Government track the number of recipients and obtain real-time updates on the recent development of the programs &schemes.

Identification of Scheme  Beneficiaries

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken up the task of doing a manual survey of the beneficiaries and drawing up a register book. They have taken the pledge of visiting every recipient at their doorstep to conduct the survey. In the process, the Government will seek help from village volunteers or ward officials who will help the Government identify the eligible members who genuinely need help.

The village volunteers will hand over the survey details to the village /ward secretariat daily, and the Municipal Commissioners/MPDOs will provide the assistance required for the survey and supervise the entire process.

After the entire survey is completed, a report will be prepared by the village office or the ward-level. The preparation of the report depends on whether the area is a Panchayat, a Municipality, or a Municipal Corporation. The MPDOs and Municipal Commissioners of the area will be the final authority in deciding the eligible member for this scheme.

Following the above process, a Gram Sabha will be organized to announce all the names of the beneficiaries and their eligibility for the schemes.

The Gram Sabha officials will distribute the documents to the applicants eligible for the scheme, and the entire process of this scheme will be updated on the YSR Navasakam Portal.

  • Preparation Arrangements: All the arrangements and formalities are made for the registration of the eligible beneficiaries.
  • Household Surveys: Many surveys are being conducted in Government Schools, Government Colleges, and dispensaries to collect all the beneficiaries living near Government offices & buildings.
  • Field Data Computerization (Data Entry): The AP Government makes sure that correct data is being collected in the proper format. Converting all the data into an electronic form is very important. It will help the Government conduct various calculations and make the data readily available on the online portal.
  • Publication of List: The final list of the collected data will be published after various calculations and meetings. Names of all the members eligible for social audit will be included in the list.
  • Social Audit: In the final step, the Gram Sabha or the Ward Sabha will conduct the social audit before giving its final nod to the Government.
