What is the physical eligibility required for SSC GD Constable?

Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC GD Constables Examination to fill the vacant positions of (General Duty), in BSF, CISF and NIA, CRPF or Rifleman. The eligibility criteria for SSC GD include parameters such as age, education, nationality, physical standard, and other factors. Minimum educational qualifications required to apply for SSC GD post are 10th passes.

SSC GD Constable includes Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examinations (DME) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). You can apply online for the position of SSG-GD at its official website. Online applications can be submitted by eligible candidates for the SSC GD post.

3.1 Another important qualification for the SSC GD post is physical eligibility. The commission will shortlist candidates who pass the Computer Based Test. The Physical Eligibility Test and Physical Standard Test will be administered at different centres. Final selections will be made by the Central Armed Police Forces. Candidates who are found to be eligible based on their height will need to pass the Physical Eligibility Test. This will be followed up by biometric/technology-aided identification. SSC Constable GD Age Eligibility 2022:

SSC Constable GD Vacancy Exam 2022 is conducted to fill up the vacant posts of GD. BYJU’S Exam Prep provides the latest updates for the SSC CG Constable. The minimum eligible age to apply for the post is Matriculation from a recognized board. Candidates from 18 years to 23 years of age are eligible to apply for this exam.

SSC is all set to conduct a computer based test, medical test, and physical efficiency test for recruitment of GD post.

SSC Constable GD Height Eligibility

The Staff Selection Commission has decided to relax the age and height criteria for SSC Constable GD vacancies. The minimum age and height requirement for male and female candidates is 158 cm and 157 cm, respectively. The eligible chest measurement for male candidates is 80 cms and for females is 80 cms. The age relaxation is valid for SC, ST, OBC, and Ex-Servicemen only.

SSC Constable GD Physical & Medical Qualification Eligibility

Another important qualification for the SSC GD post is physical eligibility. The commission will shortlist candidates who pass the Computer Based Test. The Physical Eligibility Test and Physical Standard Test will be administered at different centres. Final selections will be made by the Central Armed Police Forces. SSC Constable GD Bharti Physical Qualification for Male & Female:

  • To qualify for the SSC Constable GD Bharti 2020 and 2022, the candidate needs to have the required Physical standards. The Physical Standards Test and the Physical Efficiency Test are two tests that are administered to select the candidates for the constable post.
  • The total number of vacancies for these exams is 25,271. The Physical Standards Test is a time-bound test with a strict cut-off mark. Unlike the Written Exam, the PET/PST is conducted only once.
  • There is no special physical requirement for females to apply for the constable post. However, males must have a height of 80 cm and a chest measurement of 5 cm. While females need to be proportionate to their age and height, they must possess a strong physique.

The physical standard required for males is to run five kilometres (6.6 km) within 24 minutes, while the physical qualification for females is to run 1.6 km in 8 minutes and 30 seconds.

The Physical Standard is one of the most crucial eligibility criteria for the SSC Constable GD Bharti. The Computer Based Test is conducted on the candidates’ height and weight. The Central Armed Police Forces will finalise the centres for the Physical Eligibility Test.
